BIRTHDAY TIME .. .. BY JULES

Hi Everyone

Jules here with my creation for the challenge that my lovely playmate,
and hostess for the month, Jenny has set us
.. .. and the title of the theme .. ..

BIRTHDAY FUN !!!

Well what can be more fun than blowing out those birthday candles?
Mind you it would take quite a bit of "puff" to blow all of the candles out on this little creation ... ...

I know that there are lots of fabby, fantastic papers on Anice's new
but this time instead of using one of those .. ..
I made my own backing paper by using one of the scrummy digi images off the CD.

All I did was keep dragging onto the workspace the already coloured candles and then lined them up and re-sized them.

I also wrote my own sentiment using the "writer" on the CD.  There are some brilliant fonts on there!!

So a little tickle with a quickie glue pen and a sprinkling of glamour dust and that was it  .. .. ..  a super special and sparkly backing paper ready for someone with a bit of a big birthday LOL!!!

I hope you get chance to join in our little challenge.

The only rules are:

  • Follow the theme of the challenge
  • Use at least one Funky Hand product.

and if you don't have any Funky Hand loveliness in your collection yet
then why not make good use of the lovely freebie
that Anice has provided here.

Who knows .. .. your entry could win you a free download of your choice.

Good luck .. .

Love Jules xx

 Morning Funky Peeps!!

Its me, Lou, in the hot seat today to get you all fired up and creating for the birthday fun challenge set by our lovely Jenny. See Jenny's post here for a few more details.
I decided to make a lovely little squash book using some of the wonderful papers and oodles of digi stamps from the Happy Happy Birthday papercraft factory.
here's the outside without its ribbon in the way, I love this flowery paper, its so bright and cheery.
And here it is half un-sqaushed!!!! This was so much fun to make. If you need a bit of a tutorial on it, our very own gorgeous Kathy has HERE on her blog.
Wow, all those digi stamps and sentiments and I still didn't even scratch the surface with just how many there is on the cd!!!
Please remember you need to include at least one Funky Hand paper or extra on your card entry, that could be a paper from any of our CDs, Original collections or Papercraft factory CDs, any of the loads of download collections that are available or Our Betty stamp images.  If you don't have any Funky Hand stash yet there is a Funky Freebie paper on the websitewww.funkyhand.com to help you out so you can still join in with us and have a chance of winning your choice of any Funky Hand download.

Birthday Time!

Has it really been a month since the last time I was here talking to you?  Well here I am, its Anice by the way!, with my card creation for this months Get Funky Challenge set by our lovely Jenny.  So lets have some BIRTHDAY FUN!

I have to admit that I don't know anyone who is going to be twelve. I just decided that I liked the look of the numbers that I coloured in using Promarkers. SHOCK! Anyone who knows me..knows I don't really have a big talent for colouring images but I do like having a go!

This whole card was created from papers and digital images from my latest craft CD ROM  release Happy Happy Birthday.  If you are interested the Promarker colours I used were Lime Green, Canary, Bright Orange, Amethyst and to highlight around the edges of the letters and numbers Cool Grey 1. They all worked so well with the colour collection of papers that I used which is the Sunshine Birthday collection.

If you would like a closer look at the card pop over to my blog Funky Hand Thoughts and there will be extra pics for you to have a look at.

Now just a couple of things to add before I let you get crafting and adding your Birthday fun creation to the challenge. Firstly, please remember you need to include at least one Funky Hand paper or extra on your card entry, that could be a paper from any of our CDs, Original collections or Papercraft factory CDs, any of the loads of download collections that are available or Our Betty stamp images.  If you don't have any Funky Hand stash yet there is a Funky Freebie paper on my website www.funkyhand.com to help you out so you can still join in with us and have a chance of winning your choice of any Funky Hand download.

That's the first thing I wanted to mention, the second is that Funky Hand are sponsoring this weeks challenge over on the Daring Card Makers blog which is also to make a birthday card!  You could join in with their challenge today and have a chance of winning a copy of the Happy Happy Birthday CD.  If you take a look at their challenge and you are quick, you could enter both the challenges with one card!!  Now that could be worth it eh! Wink!

We love seeing your creations so do join in with us this month or at least leave a message so we know you have dropped by.
Now, get crafting!

Happy Birthday Cake Anyone?

Hiya it's Debs here with my project for this month's Happy Happy Birthday challenge hosted by the lovely Jenny.

No Birthday would be very Happy without a scrummy Birthday Cake - would it?????

So that's what I decided to make using the fab slice of cake template on the wonderful new
Papercraft CD-Rom

I used papers from the
HOW OLD COLLECTION

I printed off 8 slices of cake and assembled then glued them to eachother and then onto a 'plate' which I die cut using the largest Scalloped Circle Grand Nestie.

I used the CD-Rom to create the sentiment - 'HAPPY' was made using the writer facility and for BIRTHDAY I used the matching Alphas to the paper collection.

And do you see the candles - they are on the CD too - as one of the many digi images available.

We would love to see your HAPPY BIRTHDAY projects for Jenny's Funky Fifteenth challenge - just add them to the link below.

Don't forget though that you must use at least 1 Funky Hand product in order to be in with a chance to win the fab Funky Hand prize from Anice.

And to make it easy for you - in case you don't already have any Funky Hand products?????? Anice has created another Fab Funky Freebie - available here

Anice will be here in a couple of days with another fab project to inspire you - please pop back and take a look.

Have a fab funky day.
Debs xx
